Welcome

Welcome, we hope to see you here often.
The Waterline News is now in my hands, but I could do with all the help you are prepared to offer. The learning curve on taking over from Roger is quite steep, but with your help (article submissions, ideas, feedback, etc) I am sure it will be maintained at the current high standard.
Please check back here often, it is hoped that this will become the place to find interim updates to both the Waterline News articles and a bit of background as to what is currently happening along the waterline. We may even get the occasional piece of background information or breaking news.

Bass Coast Post 16 May 2019

Last night I attended a meeting of the WHS at which Catherine Watson delivered a brief history of the Bass Coast Post. The BCP grew from discussions amongst concerned citizens about a need to provide an independent voice in what was essentially a monopoly of editorial opinion.

Part of her discussion included the sharing and nurturing of authors, several of whom were in the audience.

Late, members of the audience expressed great appreciation of the Waterline News and spoke about how much it means to them, and the community.

It was a great night and, although the BCP was the star, it was an acknowledgement of the need for quality, independent journalism and local  media that serves the local community.

The BCP and The Waterline News will continue to serve their communities as Roger and Catherine have envisioned.
